Pineapple Zarda is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is easy, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. Pineapple Zarda is something that I have loved my entire life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

Sweetened Rice is quite well known dish among Muslims. It's a delicious combination of fruit and rice. This is really easy to make.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have pineapple zarda using 12 ingredients and 17 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Pineapple Zarda:
  1. Take 1 cup Basmati rice
  2. Prepare 1+ 1/2 cup Pineapple juice (I used bottled pure pineapple juice)
  3. Take 1 cup fresh pineapple cubes
  4. Take 5-6 strands Saffron/Kesr
  5. Get 2-3 tablespoon Milk
  6. Get 1 handful dry fruits like cashews, almonds, walnuts & raisins
  7. Prepare 2 tablespoon Ghee
  8. Prepare 1 Cardamom
  9. Get 2-3 Cloves
  10. Prepare 1 small piece of Cinnamon
  11. Make ready 3-4 drops Kewra water
  12. Prepare to taste Salt

How to Make Pineapple Zarda Pulao. Wash the rice and drain well. Heat the Ghee in a thick bottomed pan.( Preferably non-stick). Add the rice with the water and milk.

Instructions to make Pineapple Zarda:
  1. Take 1 cup of basmati rice, rinse and soak for half an hour.
  2. Take 1 cup of pineapple juice in a saucepan with 1/4th teaspoon of salt, and 1 cup of water. Bring to boil.
  3. Cook the rice in pineapple water upto 90% done.
  4. Drain the 90% done rice to a colander.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee to a heavy bottomed saucepan and fry some dry fruits and raisins. Transfer to a dish.
  6. In the same pan add in 1 more tablespoon of ghee and temper 2-3 cloves, 1 cardamom and a small piece of cinnamon.
  7. Add in 1/2 cup of pineapple juice and 2 tablespoon of sugar.
  8. Stir well to dissolve the sugar completely.
  9. Add in the pineapple chunks and mix well to the juice.
  10. Cook for 5-6 minutes so that pineapples become soft.
  11. Soak some saffron strands with 2 tablespoons of warm milk.
  12. Now add in the cooked rice over the pineapple pieces.
  13. Sprinkle the saffron soaked milk over the rice.
  14. Keep flame in low heat, stir gently.
  15. Also add in 3-4 drops of kewra water and cover with a lid. Cook in low heat for about 10 minutes.
  16. After 10 minutes remove from heat, add in the fried nuts and give a gentle stir. Aromat pineapple zarda is ready now.
  17. Transfer to serving dish and serve at room temperature.

Cover and simmer on a low flame. Pineapple Zarda Pulao / Tropical Sweet Saffron Rice is a deliciously rich and much fragrant Sweet Saffron Rice for festive celebrations like Eid, Holi etc. Completely vegan and gluten free is this dish. Some thoroughly fine chopped pineapples are added here. Pineapple Zarda pulao is a festive dessert that freezes very well and it is one of my go to dessert for Eid.
