  4. Make a sugar syrup from 1750g sugar and 1250ml water and add 5 tsp citric acid to it.
  5. Add pineapple juice to the sugar syrup and mix it well. Store this in a bottle for future use.
  6. Add 1/4 part pineapple squash and 3/4 water to make a refreshing drink

That is the time when pineapple squash in the fridge comes to rescue you. Place squash in a large saucepan; add water to cover. Process in a food processor until slightly chunky. Add pineapple, cream cheese, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg; process until smooth. Pack and seal in hot jars and lids.
